National Jet Italia begins operations

BAe 146-300 G-NJIC (msn E3202 ex B-17811) of National Jet Italia (NJI) flew the airline’s inaugural service, BA8502 from Palermo to Roma Fiumicino, on 11 July. She had been delivered to the airline on 30 June. The airline’s second BAe 146-300, G-NJIE (msn E3209 ex B-1778) was delivered on 16 July and entered service on BA8504 from Palermo to Roma Fiumicino on the following day. Both were formerly with Taiwan’s Uni Air. NJI operates British Airways franchise flights, in full British Airways colors.
