As a result of British Airways‘s “Future Size and Shape” review, Manx will lose its identity on 1 September and adopt the parent airline’s corporate identity. Manx was acquired by British Airways in 2001, along with sister airline British Regional Airlines (BRAL), but had remained separate. BRAL is being merged with Brymon to form British Airways CitiExpress. Manx will also adopt the British Airways CitiExpress name, but in a separate division based on the Isle of Man. In the meantime, Manx’s service from the Isle of Man to London, which it operates with its BAe 146, will switch from Heathrow to Gatwick on 31 March.
