Air Zimbabwe’s BAe 146 still grounded

A team of South African engineers has failed to put Air Zimbabwe‘s parked BAe 146 back into the air due to a shortage of parts. The series 200 has been parked at Harare since April 2000. Air Zimbabwe hired the engineers from South African Technical (SAT) after dismissing most of its own engineering staff for going on strike in September 2002. However, the government has recently directed the airline to re-hire the striking workers.
