As part of its re-organization plan, Air Canada has announced plans to return off-lease all ten BAe 146-200s operated by its regional subsidiary Jazz. The first one is due to be returned in mid September, with the others following a rate of one per month. Air Canada recently announced its intention to order 45 Bombardier CRJ700s and CRJ705s and 45 Embraer 190s to replace its regional jet fleet, although firm orders have not been signed yet. Air Canada will also phase out its 737s and 747s.
