EU investigates Lufthansa takeover of Eurowings

The European Commission is investigating possible anti-competitive effects of Lufthansa‘s takeover of majority control of Eurowings. Lufthansa, which already owned 49% of Eurowings, recently agreed with majority shareholder Albrecht Knauff in November agreed to take over the majority of voting rights in the regional airline.
