Mesaba began operating Avro RJ85s into Washington’s National Airport on 2 May. The service, operated on behalf of Northwest Airlink, comes in from Grand Rapids, Michigan, in the morning. A roundtrip is then operated to Detroit before the return leg to Grand Rapids in late afternoon. The RJ85 is the only four-engined jet ever to have operated at Washington National.
