Another airline is joining the roster of BAe 146/Avro RJ operators. After being dormant for several years, Swedish airline Transwede Airways AB is planning to resume operations using a former Azzurra Air Avro RJ70 leased from Air Malta. The RJ70 was recently rolled out in the airline’s colors at Malmö’s Sturup Airport, following maintenance by Malmö Aviation. She is configured with 82 seats, and will be used on charter flights. The airline has their head office and operational base at Göteborg’s Landvetter airport. They received their Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and their Operating License on 29 March.
