Hemus Air is operating a BAe 146 on behalf of Romanian start-up Blue Air. Blue Air, based at Bucarest’s Baneasa airport, is the first Romanian airline to adopt the low-cost model. It has been set up by former managers of Italian Avro RJ operator Azzurra Air, who acquired some of that airline’s assets (‘azzurra’ means blue in Italian).
