Philippine airline Asian Spirit is planning to add international services to its network of domestic routes. The new service will link Davao, on the island of Mindanao, with Palau, in Micronesia. The airline is also studying several other international routes. Asian Spirit operates two former National Jet Systems BAe 146-100s on lease from BAE Systems. It had also leased series 200 RP-C2995 (msn E2034), but she was damaged beyond economic repair in a landing accident in November 2005. Two more series 200s should arrive this year, and Asian Spirit has options to lease another three. It has also been in talks with Druk Air to acquire that airline’s two series 100s, which have been parked since they were replaced by Airbus A319s.
