Centavia (Central European Aviation), a new low-cost Serbian airline, will start operations using two BAe 146-200s leased from BAE Systems Regional Aircraft. Belgrade-based Centavia is planning to begin flying this summer to holiday destinations in Egypt, Turkey, Greece, and Spain. This autumn, the airline will begin scheduled services to Basel, Bergamo, Bratislava, Budapest, Köln, and Hamburg. The first BAe 146, a former Meridiana series 200 (msn E2210), will be delivered by the end of the month. The second will follow in July. Both will be configured with 98 seats. Should the airline prove successful, it plans to take additional examples.
