New Indian airline plans Avro RJ70 operations


A new Indian airline, MDLR Airlines, has announced plans to launch operations from Chandigarh with two Avro RJ70s. The airline is being established by real estate entrepreneur Gopal Kumar Goyal, Chairman of the MDLR Group. Initial services would focus on Northern Indian destinations such as Kullu, Dharamsala, and Dehra Dun. The two RJ70s would be obtained under a lease-purchase agreement. Should operations prove successful, the fleet could increase to five aircraft.
