Interstate ends BAe 146 service

Dutch ACMI operator Interstate‘s contract to operate a BAe 146-200 LZ-HBC (msn E2093, wet-leased from Hemus Air) on services from Reggio Calabria airport in southern Italy has ended. From 5 November, the contract was taken over by ItAli, using an MD-80. Interstate had been operating the flights on behalf of the airport’s managing company, SOGAS, since December 2005 — initially with a Boeing 737-500 leased from Lithuanian Airlines, and then with the BAe 146 from June. The BAe 146 has returned to Hemus Air.
