A new Spanish airline, Pyrenair, is planning to start operations from Huesca, in northeastern Spain, to Madrid and Barcelona. The airline is hoping to operate two Avro RJ85s on the route. The service would be aimed at businessmen heading to the capital and at skiers looking to quickly reach ski resorts in the Pyrenees. Other potential destinations include Palma de Mallorca and Paris. The company was formed on 13 December 2006, by local business interests.
