BA CityFlyer, the new company formed by British Airways to operate the former BA Connect Avro RJ100s, has announced a major expansion on routes from London City. New services to Glasgow and Zürich, each served four times a day, will begin on 26 March and an extra round trip to Edinburgh will be added. The airline will thus increase its operations from 144 to 250 flights a week. British Airways is also rumored to be considering buying VLM, the busiest airline at London City, so as to acquire additional slots at the airport.
