Romanian airline Romavia has added a second BAe 146 to its fleet and extended to lease on its current example. Romavia operates charters and some scheduled services, and provides state and governmental flights for the Romanian Presidency and Government. The airline received its first 146, series 200 YR-BEA (E2227) in April 2005. Initially intended primarily for use on passenger charters, she has frequently been used for governmental duties, usually with “Romania” titles replacing the airline’s name, and the national flag replacing the logo. Adding a second 146 will allow the scheduled charter program to be reinstated. Romavia’s second 146 is former Centavia series 200 YR-BEB (msn E2220 ex G-BVMT/YU-AGM). She had been in storage at Kemble since the Serb airline’s collapse in November. She was ferried to Southend on 19 January and prepared for delivery, and then flown to Bucuresti on 6 March.
