South African airline Airlink has placed its first two BAe 146s into service. The two former Flybe series 200s were ferried to South Africa in the second half of April. G-JEAW (msn E2059) left Southend on 21 April, routing via Faro, Las Palmas, and Dakar. After her arrival, she was re-registered ZS-PUM. G-JEAV (msn E2064) followed on 29 April, becoming ZS-PUL. They entered service in mid-May, on Airlink’s twice-daily flight from Johannesburg to Ndola, Zambia, and on a new three times a week flight to Harare, Zimbabwe.
