Abu Dhabi’s Palm Aviation is reported to have acquired the seven BAe 146-300s previously operated by China Eastern. These 146s had originally been delivered to China Northwest, and were absorbed by China Eastern when the two airlines merged in 2002. Unlike other 146s, they are fitted with LF507-1H engines with hydromechanical controls and so have better hot-and-high performance. They are also all fitted with EFIS flight controls. They have been in storage since 2005.
