BAE Systems sells training unit

BAE Systems has sold its Woodford-based regional aircraft training business to GCAT Flight Academy for an undisclosed sum. The training centre provides training for flight and cabin crew and for maintenance technicians training on the BAe 146 and Avro RJ, as well as on the turboprop ATP and Jetstream 31/32. It has two full-motion BAe 146 flight simulators. The acquisition brings the number of training centers operated by GCAT to ten, and the number of flight simulators they operate to 56.
