Safair acquires Avro RJ85s

South African airline Safair is reported to have acquired six former Mesaba Avro RJ85s. Safair is no stranger to the BAe 146 series, having operated a series 100QT freighter and a 200QC convertible freighter between 1991 and 1995. The first RJ85 for the airline, N505XJ (msn E2313) left Marana in late November. N507XJ (msn E2316) followed in late December, transiting via Tenerife on 26 December.
