Belgian airline VLM has ended its lease of Flightline BAe 146-300 G-BPNT (msn E3126) on 29 February. VLM leased the 146 beginning in April 2007, to assess the feasibility of introducing jet services on their routes from London City Airport. Named Spirit of Rotterdam, she operated primarily between London City and Rotterdam. The lease was interrupted during the summer season, then resumed in mid-September. The lease seemed to have been going well, being extended by six months, but the announcement that VLM are being acquired by Air France led to a change in plans, and G-BPNT was returned off-lease to Flightline on 29 February. She is due to be returned to BAE Systems, who will convert her to freighter configuration.
