Romanian BAe 146 operator Romavia has leased another BAe 146 from BAE Systems Regional Aircraft, to cover for the example that was severely damaged in a landing accident at Bucuresti on 22 April. Former CityJet BAe 146-200 G-CEVF (msn E2062) had been in storage at Bacău since November 2007. She was ferried to Southend on 3 July, and then back to Bacau on 7 July, and then delivered to Romavia on 23 July as YR-BEC. The airline is operating her on behalf of Romanian regional airline Carpatair, with Carpatair titles and a small logo on the tail. The damaged 146, series 200 YR-BEB (msn E2220), had also been operating for Carpatair at the time of her accident. She is currently still at Bucuresti, being assessed for possible repair.
