Eastern to replace Flightline on IAC contract

The SAAB 2000s of Eastern Airlines are scheduled to replace Flightline‘s BAe 146s on the oil industry support services between Aberdeen and Scatsta in February 2009. Eastern won the contract to operate the flights on behalf of the Integrated Aviation Consortium. Flightline had been operating the flights since December 2001, initially on an interim basis after taking over from bankrupt British World Airways, and then on a permanent basis since March 2002. The number of aircraft assigned to the service has varied; currently, three of the airline’s BAe 146s are operating from Aberdeen.
