More BAe 146s for Africa?

The BAE System Regional Aircraft press release announcing the sale of three BAe 146s to Air Congo included an intriguing mention of “a further seven BAe 146-200/300s … reported to have been acquired for African operations with new customers.” Presumably this total includes the two examples that new Moroccan airline Tingair is reported to be acquiring, and that being prepared for Air Libya. Three more BAe 146s are in South Africa, reportedly being prepared for Fly540’s Angola operations, although¬†there has been little movement on that front for quite some time. Assuming that plan moves forward, it still leaves an additional Africa-bound 146 unaccounted for.
