New Zealand’s Air National placed their newly acquired BAe 146-200, ZK-ECO (msn E2130), into service on 24 February. The 146 operated a charter to Napier, Blenheim, and Nelson. Air National acquired the former Jazz 146 from BAE Systems Regional Aircraft in December. She arrived in New Zealand on 15 December after a three-day ferry flight. She can be configured either with 84 seats in a 2-3 configuration, or 48 Business Class seats in a 2-2 configuration. The airline has already secured numerous bookings for the aircraft including international charters. One such charter will take holidaymakers from Tauranga, on New Zealand’s North Island, to Norfolk Island over the easter weekend. This will be Tauranga’s first international commercial flight.
