BA CityFlyer mishap closes London City

An Avro RJ100 of BA CityFlyer experienced a problem with its nose gear on landing at London City on 5 February. RJ100 G-BZAW (msn E3354) was operating flight BA8725 from Glasgow to London City with 25 passengers, when the crew reported possible nose gear problems while on approach. Emergency services stood by, but the aircraft landed safely. However, the RJ100 was stuck on the runway due to a loose nose wheel, forcing the airport to close for about four hours. None of the passengers or crew were injured. G-BZAW was ferried out of London City on 8 February, and returned to service the following day.
