BAe 146 in Gabon landing accident

A BAe 146-200 operated by South Africa’s Allegiance Air on behalf of Air Tourist Gabon overran the runway at Port Gentil on 9 April. The aircraft was arriving from Libreville in the early evening. She landed on runway 21 in heavy rain, but did not come to a stop before the end of the runway. A few minor injuries were reported among the passengers. The airport was closed for several hours until the 146 could be recovered.
Additional details on this incident, as well as on BAe 146 operations in Gabon, would be extremely welcome. Please contact the editor.
