New Italian Avro RJ operators Italiatour Airlines flew its first services on 8 April, when Avro RJ85 I-CLBA (msn E2300) operated flight OI111 from Brescia to Roma Fiumicino. She then continued to Crotone as OI312, arriving an hour behind schedule. The RJ85 then retraced her steps. A similar rotation was flown in the afternoon. The schedule calls for morning round trips to Roma Fiumicino and Crotone every day but Sunday, with a similar round trip in the afternoon every other day. On Tuesdays and Thursdays the afternoon flight only goes to Roma and back. The airline had received its operating certificate on 11 March, and started selling tickets on 24 March. Loads on the first day were disappointing, with only 15 passengers on the inaugural flight to Roma, including several invited dignitaries. Aside from the short time for which tickets have been on sale, the airline is also suffering from resistance from travel agencies in Crotone, many of whom are refusing to sell tickets on the airline because of bad experiences with the previous operator on the route, Airbee.
