Syrian Pearl begins operations

New BAe 146 operator Syrian Pearl began operations on 4 May, with flight PSB111 from Damascus to Aleppo. The flight was operated by Orionair using BAe 146-300 EC-JVO (msn E3179). Operations were to have started on 1 May, but were delayed by the late arrival of the aircraft. The initial schedule calls for two daily roundrips to Aleppo, in early morning and evening, with a daily roundtrip to Qamishle mid-morning and one to Deir El Zor in early afternoon. Once sistership EC-JVJ (msn E3195) arrives in Syria, Aleppo will be served three times day, and Qamishle and Deir El Zor twice a day. Lattikia will also be added, with flights on Thursday and Saturday.
