Albanian Airlines has announced that it will operate their BAe 146-100, ZA-MAK (msn E1085), on an ACMI lease on behalf of Kenya’s Jetlink Express for six months beginning in late July. The 146 will substitute for Jetlink Express’ Bombardier CRJ200 on services from Nairobi to Kisumu, near Lake Victoria. Runway work at Kisumu is limiting the available length, precluding the use of the CRJ200 but posing no problems for the 146. Jetlink Express will be the first Kenyan operator of the BAe 146.
