Bionic Aviation buys a BAe 146

South African aviation charter company Bionic Aviation has bought former Air Dolomiti BAe 146-300 G-BSNS (msn E3169 ex I-ADJG) from BAE Systems Regional Aircraft. Bionic Aviation was established in 2006 and is based at Lanseria, outside Johannesburg. It offers a range of services, including maintenance, repair and overhaul management, parts supply, avionics upgrades, charters, and cargo logistics. It plans to use the 146 for passenger charters in southern Africa. The company has operated charters in the past, using wet-leased services. The 146 had been in storage since being handed back by Air Dolomiti last July. After receiving attention from Chevron Technical Services, she departed Kemble for South Africa on 27 October, still wearing basic Air Dolomiti colors.
