India’s Jagson Airlines is planning to add two Avro RJ85s to its fleet. The airline currently operates three Dornier 228s. Jagson has recently hired MDLR‘s former CEO, Koustav Dhar, as its CEO. Dhar indicated that Jagson would receive two RJ85s, one in late January and one in February, but did not indicate their source. Scheduled services would then begin on 2 February, from the airline’s base in New Delhi to small towns throughout northern India – including many routes that MDLR had been serving. The relatively fast start will be made possible by hiring technical staff laid off by MDLR.
