Titan Airways subsidiary Snowjet began BAe 146 operations with a flight from London Stansted to Sion on 19 December. BAe 146-200QC G-ZAPO (msn E2176) operated flight ZT6411, bringing 75 passengers to the Swiss airport. She wore her standard Titan livery, but with Snowjet titles. Sion is very close to several ski resorts, but its location in a narrow valley surrounded by steep mountains restricts the aircraft types that can operate there, and flight crew need specific training. Titan flew several training flights into the airport in early November so that flight crew could obtain the necessary qualifications. The flights will operate every Saturday and Sunday until mid April. Snowjet also operates into Chambéry from several airports in the UK, but some of these routes will be served with a Boeing 737.
