Australia’s Cobham Aviation Services took delivery of the first of two former BA CityFlyer Avro RJ100s it is leasing from BAE Systems Regional Aircraft. RJ100 G-BZAW (msn E3354) departed Southend on 28 June, wearing a special logo on the tail that reads “The first RJ100 for Australia … leading the way”. She first flew to Dubrovnik, where she overnighted. Her itinerary then took her to Sharm El Sheikh and on to Muscat on 29 January, to Mumbai and then Colombo on the 30th, to Phuket and Jakarta on the 31st, before finally reaching Australia, arriving at Broome on the evening of 1 February. On 2 February, the last leg took her to Adelaide, arriving in early afternoon. The RJ100, along with a second RJ100 and three BAe 146s, will be used in support of Chevron Australia’s offshore Gorgon project.
