Allegiance Air withdraws BAe 146s from Congo

South Africa’s Allegiance Air pulled out the BAe 146s and other aircraft it was operating on behalf of Air Congo in late March, effectively grounding the airline. The move apparently follows continuing disputes with its Congolese partners and rising government intervention into the airline’s operations. The 146s used in Congo have varied, but in March they apparently included TN-AHX (msn E2051), TN-AIB (msn E2046), and TN-AIC (msn E2044). All three have returned to South Africa.
