The first of two Avro RJ100s returned off-lease by Indonesia’s Riau Airlines has been ferried to Australia for continued storage. RJ100 PK-RAZ (msn E3265) had been returned prematurely to BAE Systems Regional Aircraft earlier this year after the airline fell in arrears on payments. She was ferried from Jakarta to Port Hedland and on to Adelaide on 11 June. Sistership PK-RAY (msn E3243) should follow soon. Both will be looked after by Cobham Aviation Services until a new operator is found.
