Albanian Airlines has withdrawn from use BAe 146-100 ZA-MAK (msn E1085). The aircraft was due for a heavy check, which was thought to be uneconomic, and so she was parked at Tirana in March and used as a source of spares for the rest of the airline’s fleet. Albanian’s new owners appears to have abandoned their grandiose growth plans, and are concentrating their efforts on their airline’s traditionally profitable flights to Italy with their remaining two BAe 146s, series 200 ZA-MAL (msn E2054) and series 300 ZA-MEV (msn E3197).
