Malmö Aviation Avro RJ100 lands at Aosta

Malmö Aviation Avro RJ100 SE-DSR (msn E3244) was the first four-engined aircraft to land at Corrado Gex Airport in Aosta, in Northern Italy. The charter from Göteborg was arranged by the airport’s management company, AVDA, to demonstrate the recently expanded airport’s capabilities. AVDA hopes that regular chart flights to the airport can begin in February 2011. Because of the airport’s location in a narrow valley, the aircraft types allowed to operate there are likely to be restricted.
