Romanian BAe 146 operator Romavia ended commercial operations with its pair of BAe 146-200s, YR-BEA (msn E2227) and YR-BEC (msn E2062) in October. A pair of football charters were among the last services flown, with YR-BEA flying Romania’s Under-21 team to Norwich for a game against England on 8 October, and then flying FC Steaua Bucuresti to Amsterdam for its game against FC Utrecht on 21 October. YR-BEC, in contrast, has not flown since the end of her contract with Carpatair on 1 September. Both 146s are being returned off-lease to BAE Systems. YR-BEA was ferried from Romavia’s base at Bucuresti’s Otopeni Airport to nearby Baneasa on 25 November, without titles.
