Malmö Aviation to replace Avro RJs with CSeries

Malmö Aviation will replace its fleet of Avro RJs with Bombardier CSeries aircraft. The airline will receive five 110-seat CS100s and five 130-seat CS300s, with deliveries beginning in 2014. A firm order for the aircraft was placed through Braathens Leasing, which like Malmö Aviation is part of the Braathens Aviation Group, and options were also taken on another 10 CSeries aircraft. The CSeries’ ability to operate from the restricted airport at Bromma was one of the primary criteria for the selection. Malmö Aviation currently operates 12 Avro RJs: one RJ70, two RJ85s, and nine RJ100s. Swiss will also be replacing its Avro RJ100s with CS100s.
