Tanzania’s Air Zara International has given a home to one of the BAe 146s orphaned by the shutdown of Allegiance Air early this year. The Dar es Salaam-based airline acquired series 200 ZS-AAY (msn E2044). She had been stored at Kruger Mpumalanga since shortly after Allegiance’s collapse. Tanzania will be the fourth country that ZS-AAY has operated in since arriving in Africa in 2008, initially as TN-AIE. She flew for Air Congo in Congo-Brazzaville as TN-AIC from 2008 to March 2010, then for East African Safari Air Express in Kenya from September to November of 2010, as ZS-AAY, and finally for Comores Aviation International in the Comoros Islands, from late November 2010 to January 2011. She was ferried to Dar es Salaam on 12 June.
