Tanzanian BAe 146 operation falls through

Air Zara BAe 146-200 ZS-AAY

BAe 146-200 ZS-AAY back at Lanseria (Stuart Scollon)

BAe 146-200 ZS-AAY (msn E2044) is back at Lanseria, after her proposed operation for Tanzania’s Air Zara International apparently fell through. She had been ferried to Dar es Salaam on 12 June, but then apparently sat idle at least through the end of July. In late August she was noted flying to Kigoma, adorned with a map of Africa in Tanzania’s national colors on her tail; it is not known if she was operating for Air Zara, or whether more than one flight was undertaken. On 18 September, she was ferried back to Lanseria.
Additional details on BAe 146 operations in Tanzania would be extremely welcome. Please contact the editor.
