Air France KLM has commissioned a review of options for its wholly owned subsidiary CityJet, which operates 22 Avro RJ85s. Air France recently unveiled a plan to bring all of its other regional subsidiaries – Britair, Regional, and Airlinair – together in a single company. It is now considering its options for CityJet. The options to be reviewed include spinning off the Irish company to an investment partner. In the meantime, CityJet is implementing a cost reduction plan aimed at returning it to profitability in 2013. The airline has disposed of several RJ85s, including four to Venuezuela’s LaMia (though these have yet to be delivered) and one to Tajikistan’s Asian Express Airline.
