Korongo Airlines‘ first BAe 146-200, OO-MJE (msn E2192), has returned to Bruxelles for heavy maintenance, arriving on October 18. Sistership OO-DJJ (msn E2196) remains in Congo to serve as backup for the airline’s Boeing 737. Until recently, the 146s operated twice a week from Lubumbashi to Mbuji-Mayi and on to Kinshasa, but the 737 has taken over the route following upgrades to the airport at Mbuji-Mayi.
