Qantas buys Australian Air Express

Cobham Aviation Services operates BAe 146-100QT VH-NJV on behalf of Australian Air Express (Steve Cross)

Qantas is taking full control of Australian Air Express (AaE) by buying out its partner, the Australia Post. In return, Australia Post will take full ownership of the road-freight business StarTrack. AaE’s fleet includes three BAe 146QTs – a series 100QT and two 300QTs – operated by Cobham Aviation Services. Once the transaction is completed, AaE will be folded into Qantas Freight.
