Lessor Tronos has acquired former Korongo Airlines BAe 146-200 OO-MJE (msn E2192). OO-MJE had returned to Bruxelles from Lubumbashi in October, for maintenance. With regional airports in the DRC being upgraded to accept Boeing 737s, the 146 was no longer needed there. Sistership OO-DJJ (msn E2196) remains in Lubumbashi to act as a back-up for Korongo’s 737 for the time being, but is also likely to return to Belgium in the near future. OO-MJE was registered to Aircraft Holding Network Inc Trustee as N192DD on 23 January, and left for Canada on 27 January, still wearing basic Korongo colors.
