Bolivia’s Ecojet has received a second former Lufthansa Avro RJ85. Like Ecojet’s first RJ85, D-AVRR (msn E2317) was also sourced from FlairJet. She had been stored at Köln since being withdrawn from use in August 2012. After painting at Lelystad, she was ferried to Bolivia, arriving in Cochabamba on 5 August. In the meantime, D-AVRK (msn E2278) has received her Bolivian registration, CP-2788. Ecojet had hoped to begin operations in May, but it is still awaiting various authorizations. It received its AOC from Bolivia’s DGAC in late July, but is still awaiting an operating certificate from the Telecommunications and Transport Authority (ATT). Ecojet has already hired 75 people. Its flight and cabin crew have been trained by Swiss Aviation Training.
