Equatorial Guinea’s Air Annobón has taken delivery of a former CityJet RJ85. EI-RJS (msn E2365) operated her last CityJet flight (a Dublin-Paris CDG roundtrip on behalf of Air France) on 22 January, and then was ferried to Norwich the following day. After receiving attention from KLM Engineering, she was ferried to Shannon on 16 February for painting into Air Annobón’s colors. She was rolled in full Air Annobón colours with the name Mebana and her future registration of 3C-MAA covered up, on 26 February, and ferried back to Dublin two days later. She finally departed on delivery to Air Annobón on 26 March, routing via Palma and Tamanrasset. She joins BAe 146-300 ZS-SBR (msn E3120), who replaced Air Annobón’s first BAe 146-300, ZS-SOR (msn E3155), in mid 2013, with the latter returning to South Africa. It is not known whether 3C-MAA will complement or replace ZS-SBR.
