Línea Aérea Margarita Internacional de Aviación (LaMiA) has ferried two more of their Avro RJ85s to Venezuela. The airline, then based in Mérida, acquired four Avro RJ85s from CityJet in mid-2011, but they had remained in storage at Norwich as the airline’s efforts to begin services were continually thwarted by political obstacles in Venezuela. One of the four, P4-LOR (msn E2348), was finally ferried to Venezuela in October 2013. She has new been joined by two more. P4-TIZ (msn E2350) departed Norwich on 20 February, but then returned with a technical fault. After that false start, she departed again on 27 February, this time successfully. P4-ARI (msn E2370) followed, departing Norwich on 18 March. In the meantime, P4-LOR has been ferried to Cochabamba, Bolivia, for maintenance.
