Former Lufthansa CityLine Avro RJ85 G-CGXS, seen while in storage at Kemble in 2013 (Kev Slade)
Bolivia’s EcoJet has added a fourth Avro RJ85 to its fleet. Like her fleetmates, RJ85 CP-2889 (msn E2269 ex D-AVRF) is a former Lufthansa CityLine example. After being withdrawn from service in July 2010, she was stored at Basel until August 2011, when she was ferried to München for hand-back maintenance. She was then returned to Falko Regional Aircraft, who re-registered her as G-CGXS and stored her at Kemble. After EcoJet acquired her in May, she was prepared for service by Chevron Technical Services, then visited Southend to be stripped of her Lufthansa colors. She left Kemble on her delivery flight to Bolivia on 16 July, arriving two days later.
