Atlantic Airways ends Avro RJ100 operations

Avro RJ100 OY-RCC (msn E3357) flew her last flight for Atlantic Airways — a Vágar-Trondheim round trip — on 22 August. Later that day, she was ferried to Malmö Sturup to begin a lease to Malmö Aviation. She had already been operating frequently for the Swedish carrier since May, alternating between periods of Atlantic Airways and Malmö Aviation services. Her departure brings to an end over a quarter-century of BAe 146/Avro RJ operations by Atlantic Airways, which began with the delivery of a single BAe 146-200 (OY-CRG msn E2075) in March 1988.
